Principal Notes

Over the years Lakewood has developed a strong tradition of solid core values with an eye on the future. All students deserve to be safe and respected at school. We hold this belief dearly and take regular steps to ensure this. Our students are challenged by a variety of activities both inside and outside of the school day. They deserve our best as we encourage them to do their very best.

Reading and literacy are critical in today's world. We have worked tirelessly to develop
and implement a responsive educational program (RTI) the involves early identification,
individualized interventions and progress monitoring. We are actively using data to help drive these processes.

While we have made great strides to improve our school, we realize we cannot do it alone. A
commitment to our school community partnership is the key to success. We appreciate your
support as we continue our quest to promote "Learning Today", so our students can be "Leading Tomorrow".

Mr. Doyle
