About Me: Hello! I'm Mr. Dennis and this is my first year at Lakewood. This is my 12th year teaching, but my first year in middle school. I have experience outside of the classroom as I spent about five years working as a tool and die engineer. I have taught and tutored students at all levels of math, from pre-algebra through AP calculus and statistics. I believe for students to succeed in math in the future, a goof foundation of the basics is paramount and we will be working on those skills.
I met my wife while in high school and we have been married for almost 17 years. We have three children: Zachary 15, Gabriella 13, and Michela 10. All three are heavily involved in travel basketball and softball at GTS in Elkhorn. Baseball is my biggest passion as I played for the Burlington Barons and Kenosha Kingfish until last year when coaching took over a majority of my time. If I'm not on a ballfield, I love crappie or musky fishing, camping and hiking with my family. I can't express how excited I am for this new adventure!
