4K students planted their sunflowers and wildflower seeds in the school garden this week. They are crossing their fingers that they will see colorful blooms when they return to kindergarten in the fall.

On Wednesday, we recognized some students who raised money for the Kid's Heart Challenge. As a reward for their hard work, they were able to "slime" Mr. Kouvelis!

We always love ending the year with our annual Band and Choir dinner. These students were recognized for their musicianship, leadership, growth, and willingness to help others. We also said goodbye to 17 wonderful 8th graders who gave so much to the program and wished them well as they journey off to high school. Thanks for another great year of music making! 🎶💙🎵💛

A huge congratulations to our 4th-6th grade Battle of the Books participants on all of their hard work! 📚👏

Together, these students read an incredible 37 books and competed in 9 different battles, answering questions about the stories they read. Their dedication, teamwork, and love of reading truly showed throughout the competition.

We are so proud of all of their effort and accomplishments — great job, readers! 🎉

Team Lakewood!
Last week, Lakewood proudly held our annual National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony, welcoming seven new 6th and 7th grade students into NJHS! 🎉
Students are selected based on academic excellence, as well as their character, leadership, and commitment to service. We are honored to welcome these outstanding students and celebrate our current members.

We also recognized our 8th graders as they prepare to graduate, celebrating their many accomplishments.

This year, NJHS made a big impact—donating a Gaga Ball Pit to Lakewood, raising $500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, organizing the school’s Variety Show, and completing over 200 hours of community service.

We are so proud of our NJHS students!

Team Lakewood!

Lakewood School was just honored as a Heart Safe School in the state of Wisconsin. 1 of just about 100 schools in the state to earn this honor. This recognition comes from Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and Project Adam.

The safety of students is always a top priority and thank you to this team, as well as our school's nurse for keeping the priority always at the top!
